It is way too hot for September, a lumbering thunderstorm is flattening the rooftops, and the sun is reflecting off the parking lot cars like my eyeballs personally offended it. I was born a summer baby, but hot flashes have recently promoted Autumn to my favorite season—which would be fantastic if Ms. Migraine hadn't just returned for Season 41. More on that later.

Welcome to Feral Flora Club.

I'm Kellena Thorne: maker of selective snack plates, digital paintings, and strange little worlds. I'm also a stay-at-home mom on wheels, professional side-quester, habitual hobby collector, and enthusiastic producer of unfinished projects and extremely necessary tangents.

FFC is my corner of the internet for works in progress, excessive lore, creative detours, and whatever else has captured my ADHD brain lately.

Mostly, though, this is for the people who Get It.

The moms writing dialogue in the fleeting 13-minute windows when everyone else is occupied. The artists making things between shifts. The people whose neurodivergence and hormones teamed up to create a Brand New Personality™. The ones who know that pushing through with an “I'm fine” actually means I will now be horizontal for 2.5 business days.

You know who you are.

If we're all going to be stuck in the Doom-Scroll Apocalypse together, we might as well have some fun with it. Bring the half-finished project. Bring the comically oversized emotional support beverage. We'll make things, talk too much about fictional worlds, take unnecessary creative detours, and occasionally wander into a realm-in-progress.

It's basically parallel play for grown-ups.
